Reviews:
"...
ends quite unusually, in a fashion I could not quite digest... if
the author and artist meant to disturb me they succeeded. I read a lot
of horror, and this was more disturbing than any of the titles I
normally read. If your taste is dark, and your ideas of art surreal, go
to the site and order your own copy."

"...much like Curfman's films, this beautifully illustrated graphic
novel somehow manages to be disturbingly grotesque, yet undeniably sweet
at the same time..."
- Die Medien Unterirdisch
(Deutschland)
"...it's a Christmas story (but) not your
typical Christmas story, well not unless you're a member of the
Addams Family that is, and even then I think Gomez and crew would
appear normal in comparison..."

"Niki Price does an
excellent job bringing Curfman’s depraved vision to life while keeping a
light-hearted tone that is paradoxically consistent with the narrator’s
formal, sarcastic voice. Her great page designs, hand lettering and
gorgeous painted cover make this worth checking out for the artwork
alone."

A
few words from Curfman and Price:
I was recently asked my most loathed question;
"So, Justin, what the hell is this about?"
Other than being about 88 pages long...
here is the best description of
"Expiration Date" that I can possibly give
(without giving the story away):
"Expiration Date" is an 88 page illustrated short
story about a family of three and their Christmas holiday experience
involving plastic, five-gallon buckets of flesh, an emaciated
mother-figure, an attic, urine, dehydrated kittens, post-hole diggers,
platelets, milk, and breakfast cereal.
